Install RankMath SEO Plugin on Your WordPress:

  2. Add New Plugin

After installing & active the plugin, it redirects you to the setup page. On the setup page, there is three option for configuring the plugin.

Select the Advanced and click the “Start Wizard” button.

After starting Wizard, the plugin takes you into five steps. Let’s fix the steps. After completing every step, click on the “Save & Continue.”

  2. Connect Google™ Services: You add your Google Search Console account with RankMath. It can help RankMath to understand your GSC statutes and show you some essential fixes.
  3. Sitemap: You do not need to change anything here, but you can uncheck “Public Taxonomies” because these types of taxonomies increase thin content.
  4. SEO Tweaks: Leave it as it comes. Hit the “Save & Continue.”
  5. Your site is ready!, Click on the “Return to the dashboard.”

General Settings: in the general setting, there is little customization for primary configuration.

  • Images (Leave it as it comes)
  • WebMaster Tool, You can add your webmaster code here for the site verification.
  • Edit Robot.txt (Leave it as it comes)

  • Analytics, Add your Google account here for OnPage Analysis.
  • Content AI, Customize as you want.

Titles & Meta: It is an essential setting. You can control your thin content and optimize which section you want to index and which one is not in this section. If you’re going to make a great impression on the search engine indexing and ranking, follow these steps.

  • Global Meta (Leave it as it comes)
  • Local SEO, Add your information if you want to run your site for local businesses.
  • Social Meta, You can add your social information here.
  • HomePage, Add your website Title and Description here. This info will show on the search result if you want to rank your leading site or homepage.
  • Post Formats (Leave it as it comes)
  • Authors, (Disable) It is one kind of thin content. I recommend disabling it. It will increase your OnPage thin Content.
  • Date Archives, (Disable) Check – Noindex Search Results, Noindex Paginated Pages, Noindex Archive Subpages, Noindex Password Protected Pages
  • Post (Leave it as it comes)
  • Pages, Customize as you want, but I recommend noindex it. Remember, if you noindex pages, make sure your homepage is not to be a static page. If yes, go to the homepage and manually index it.
  • Attachments (Leave it as it comes)
  • Categories (Disable) first enable the “Category Archives Robots Meta” after that, Check – No Index, No Archive, No Snippet
  • Tags (Disable) first enable the “Category Archives Robots Meta” after that, Check – No Index, No Archive, No Snippet
